A quick Ump-tab upgrade: the pitcher's pitch count now lives right on the plate indicator.

NEW Ump tab: the current pitcher's game pitch total (with the age-group limit) now shows at the top of the card, above the ball–strike count — so whoever's behind the plate can watch the count without leaving the screen. Tap it to jump to the full Pitch Counter. It turns amber inside the last 15 pitches and red at the limit.
CHANGE Site analytics now use privacy-friendly, cookieless Umami alongside our existing aggregate counts. As always, your roster and team data never leave your device.
NEW Sharper share QR codes — and when your lineup is compact, the Batter Up logo now sits right in the middle. Codes render crisper on every screen, and bigger rosters automatically keep the plain code so scanning never suffers.

A focused game-day update: a smarter pitch-counter layout, a first-game setup guide for new coaches, and a new credits page.

CHANGE Pitch tab: the big +1 PITCH button (and Undo) now sit right under the pitch count, above The Count's ball/strike tracker — the most-used button is now the first one your thumb finds.
NEW First-game guide: on a coach's first visit, the Clipboard shows a simple "Set up today's game" path — Add roster → Set batting order → Rotate defense → Start game. Each step jumps straight to the right screen, and the guide is dismissible for good with one tap. Existing teams never see it.
NEW Design & Accessibility Credits page (credits.html), linked from the footer and the About screen.

FIX On Android phones with larger system font sizes, the home-screen tagline could run off the right edge and make the page drift sideways. Text now wraps cleanly at every size.
CHANGE Tidier header: the top bar now reads simply "Lineups made simple."

PRIVACY Share links now carry only what the team needs to see: batting order, positions, and walk-up songs. Your coach notes, pitch counts, and in-game state stay private on your device.
NEW Game-safe updates: a new version downloads quietly and shows a dismissible "update after the game" bar instead of ever swapping in mid-game.
NEW Automatic backup: a last-known-good copy of your data is kept on-device and restores itself if the main copy is ever missing or corrupted.
FIX QR share codes are now size-guarded, so a big roster shows a helpful message instead of a broken code.
FIX The game clock snaps to the correct time instantly when you return from a locked screen or phone call.
FIX Editing in two tabs at once now warns you before one tab overwrites the other.
FIX Importing a backup or shared lineup now validates the file and confirms before replacing anything.
A11Y Better reflow at high zoom, and Escape now closes any modal or full-screen overlay.

FIX Restored a missing server config file and fixed an offline-cache bug from Build 39.
PERF Replaced oversized images so pages load faster on the field.

NEW Reset button on the Batting Order card: clears the order and defense grid in one tap (after a confirm) for a fresh game.
CHANGE Batting order rows now show each player's position for the selected inning instead of the jersey number.

FIX iPhone install instructions now detect in-app browsers (Instagram, Facebook, the Google app) and walk you through opening in Safari first.

Batter Up goes live at batterup.app: batting order, inning-by-inning defense, pitch counts, fair playing time, and walk-up songs. Free, no accounts, works offline, and your team's data stays on your device (we only collect anonymous usage stats, never names or rosters).
