Design & development
Every screen in Batter Up — the roster, batting order, defensive rotation, pitch counter, and game mode — was designed and built by Ryan Thompson through Mention Group, with a single goal: a fast, utilitarian game-day clipboard a coach can run one-handed from the dugout.
Accessibility
Accessibility isn't an afterthought here. Batter Up is built toward WCAG 2.1 standards: strong color contrast, large touch targets, readable type, keyboard-operable controls, and screen-reader labels. These practices, and the ongoing testing behind them, are informed by AX4E — Access for Everyone, Ryan's accessibility initiative. Hit a snag with assistive tech? Tell us — reports make the app better for every coach, parent, and kid.
